S.F. Cody preparing for expansion

The international shopping franchise S.F. Cody's Emporium, which trades in Malta, is planning to expand elsewhere in the country and in the Mediterranean region.

S.F. Cody opened last October at the de Tigne' shopping complex and is a completely new concept in shopping. According to its local representatives, Daniel Abela and leading athlete Xandru Grech, S.F. Cody is an emporium of the unique and eclectic. The company sells gifts such as chocolate games, and all types of innovative stationery and cards.

"We are seeking to provide an innovative shopping experience. This is a shop with a difference, and unlike conventional gift shops, we try to provide the ideal gift for every occasion,"

Although S.F. Cody is a franchise, the company running the local outlet can sub-franchise the brand. In fact, an S.F. Cody outlet will soon open at the Westin Dragonara, and another is being planned in Valletta. Other hotels are interested in housing an S.F. Cody gift shop, Mr Abela said.

"Moreover our franchise allows us to go elsewhere in the Mediterranean. We are already in contact with interested parties in Cyprus, Turkey and Greece. We also have e-commerce plans , and products sold at S.F. Cody will soon be available on the web," he said.
