Net TV chief resigns

by Franco Aloisio

Roger Degiorgio, head of Net TV, resigned yesterday after not agreeing to sign a three-year contract with Multi Comm Ltd. As a result, the party's secretary general, Joe Saliba, has been appointed chief executive of Multi Comm Ltd. Dr Degiorgio said he could not accept the conditions being proposed by the PN secretary general.

Dr Degiorgio previously had an indefinite contract with the party. "It is time to move on," he said.

The Nationalist Party yesterday announced a number of new appointments. Technical manager Anton Attard has been appointed manager broadcasting of Net TV and Radio 101. Radio DJ Noel Mallia has been appointed consultant co-ordinator of Radio 101. Noel Azzopardi, former financial controller, is now personal assistant to Joe Saliba, while Antoine Portelli has become Multi Comm's financial controller. The PN also announced that it has sold its stake in EuroPrint Ltd.
