BDS fully owned by Gasan Group

The IT company BDS Ltd has become a fully owned subsidiary of the Gasan Group of Companies after the latter bought out the shares of Alexander Attard in BDS.

The deal was announced yesterday. Following Gasan's buy out of Alexander Attard's shares, the latter has relinquished his posts as director and executive at BDS.

The new board of directors is composed of Joe A. Gasan as chairman, E. Firman (deputy chairman), D. Wallbank, O. De Giorgio and J. Delia. Mr Wallbank, who is the IT director with the Gasan Group of Companies, has been appointed as the company's managing director.

The Gasan Group said that its closer association with BDS Ltd is seen as a very positive development which will enable the company to cons- olidate its past achievements in the IT sector while continuing to build on the opportunities which exist in this field.

BDS Ltd has established itself as a market leader in the IT field in Malta, especially as a computer software developer and distributor of Apple, Bull, Remanco, Acer, 3COM and Ericsson products.
