MFS to take part in film exhibition

The Mediterranean Film Studios (MFS) will next month take part in "Locations 2000 Global Expo", an international exhibition of movie locations and filming facilities.

This will be the sixth time the MFS will be taking part in the Locations 2000 Global Expo, which this year is entering its 15th edition. The Expo, organised by the Association of Film Commissioners, will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Centre between 25 and 27 February.

Malcolm Scerri Ferrante, product and marketing manager at MFS, said that over 6,000 delegates are expected to attend the exhibition. The fair will be housing around 300 exhibits.

He told The Malta Business Weekly that the aim of the exhibition is to promote the services and products of film studios and facilities. Mr Scerri Ferrante stressed the importance of the fact that the MFS will be present in the Locations 2000 Global Expo.

"Being present in such events is an important step towards promoting Malta's film facilities," he said.

During the exhibition, the Maltese film facilities will be promoted as the world's leading marine facility. Mr Scerri Ferrante and MFS general manager, Jost Merten, will be attending the expo in Los Angeles.
