Endeavour turns expertise to local market
by a staff reporter
Endeavour - Internet Business Solutions, a company that for a number of years has provided technology services to foreign clients, is now turning its expertise to the local market to deliver Turnkey Internet Business Solutions.
"Endeavour is set to bring to these islands the real benefits of the Internet," said Vincent Bezzina, managing director for Endeavour. Endeavour has in fact put together an impressive portfolio of products that appeal to businesses of all sizes. They offer e-commerce, web design, web hosting, ISP access, consultancy and marketing.
"We believe in taking a holistic approach," added Mr Bezzina, "because we want to provide a complete and seamless solution. At the same time, we have been very careful to make sure that our solutions are scaleable.
"We believe that small business should have the same opportunities as larger ones to share in the huge rewards the internet is creating - and scaleable solutions is how this can be achieved".
Endeavour is backing its words with an on-line business directory called Shout. Business and professionals can place their name, address, and contact details on-line.
The directory will be indexed through a powerful search engine that will allow clients to find companies by name, products and services. Clients will also be able to send e-mails to businesses or to follow links to websites. At only Lm1 per month this must be the cheapest way to get a voice on the internet.
Their e-commerce solution is equally impressive. At a time when most web sites are little more than bill boards, Endeavour is building fully fledged shops.
Sites built by Endeavour work more like diligent employees rather than dumb computers - the web site becomes a place to do business.
"Our custom-built e-commerce system works with Maltese banks. When your client pays by card at your web site, our server immediately contacts the bank and, in seconds, verifies the payment while the client waits for a few seconds.
"Only if the payment is approved will the product or service be delivered. The money for the payment then goes straight into the business bank account.
"We have all the other bits that businesses will need to have a functional e-commerce solution," continued Mr Bezzina. "We can get your database on-line and keep it updated in real time. What's more, you don't need expensive leased lines and our system does not create security risks."
