This week the new Hilton Malta achieves full occupancy after a mere two weeks of operations, Hilton's sales manager Daniela Calamatta has confirmed.
Ms Calamatta told The Malta Business Weekly that the 294 hotel rooms at present are occupied. The Hilton Malta received its first visitors on 28 February, but the bulk of tourists arrived in the last three days.
The full occupancy was also achieved as a result of an IBM international conference which is being organised in Malta in these days. A substantial number of participants of this conference are residing at the Hilton Malta.

The new Hilton Malta has a range of restaurants such as the Oceana Restaurant and Terrace, the Royal Thai and the Blue Elephant. Other attractions of the Hilton Malta in the Summer months will be the Bottega Del Vino, the Aqua Bar and Gazebo restaurant.
For light refreshments, residents and visitors can visit the Quarterdeck bar which has a nautical theme and spectacular views of the marina, the Merkanti Beach Club and the Vista Lounge Bar.
In-house conference facilities will include a meeting room that will seat up to 600 delegates plus six syndicate rooms. A purpose-built convention centre will open in March 2001 and will seat 1,500 delegates theatre style and will be connected at lobby level.
