MIM launches DBA outreach programme
The Malta Institute of Management (MIM) in collaboration with Maastricht School (MSM), of the Netherlands has proudly launched the third intake of a European Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) Outreach programme in Malta.
This programme is targeted at executives who possess a postgraduate degree in any field and have relevant work experience to supplement their academic background.
The programme started this month with an impressive turnout of eight executives from various organisations and areas of specialisations, such as engineering, human resources management, financial resources, IT and healthcare. The DBA, which runs between March 2000 and March 2003, is a tuition-based programme, having its lecturing staff all drawn from Maastricht School of Management.
The DBA Curriculum at MSM has an orientation towards applied research and draws more on practical business administration issues and major industry issues.
Satisfactory performance in the course work, namely quantitative techniques, behavioural sciences, economic and research methods and the thesis seminar of the first year confirm the participant as a doctoral candidate and eligible for the award of the Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree.
These candidates would then proceed to complete their research and thesis under the guidance of professors from MSM.
