
Lord Mayor to visit 2-4 April
The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Clive Martin, will be visiting Malta between 2 and 4 April.
The Lord Mayor will have a full programme which will include calls on the President of Malta, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and a meeting with the mayor of Valletta.
The Lord Mayor, who is the head of the corporation of London, has a wide ranging business role in support of the City of London as
the world's leading international financial centre. The purpose of this visit is to promote closer links between Malta and Britain, particularly in the area of financial services. The Malta Financial Services Centre will host a seminar at which the Lord Mayor will speak about the role of the City of London as the world's leading financial centre and the prospects for developing closer links between Malta and Britain.
The Lord Mayor will also visit De La Rue Currency and Security Print Ltd's premises in Zejtun.
