Maltese executives to attend International Executive Summit in Montecarlo

by Anthony Manduca

A select group of top executives from Malta will be attending an International Executive Summit in Montecarlo between 14 and 15 September. The summit, entitled "Meet the Intelligence Revolution" is being organised by MicroStrategy, one of the world's leading providers of business intelligence software. Ing. Alexander Tranter, vice- president of Makeezi, the local representatives of MicroStrategy, told The Malta Business Weekly: "This is the first time that MicroStrategy has extended an invitation for a limited number of top executives from Malta to form part of a select group of 300 top executives from all over Europe to participate in this prestigious annual event. The main aim of this International Executive Summit, which is by invitation only, is to provide high level decision makers with the insight and knowledge to design business strategy to optimise profitability, revenue and customer satisfaction."

To do this, MicroStrategy has chosen a selection of the most renowned speakers and business leaders to come together to discuss eCRM (electronic Customer Relationship Management) and customer loyalty strategies. Some of the key speakers at the Summit will be Dr Peter Cochrane, Chief Scientist at British Communication (BT), one of the world's leading technology prophets; Bipin Junnarkar, vice-president, Chief Knowledge Officer & CIO for Gateway's Domestic Operations USA; Daniel Marovitz, CEO for Deutsche Bank's eBusiness division, Wilfried Beeck co-founder of Intershop Communications, one of the world leaders of e-commerce software; and Michael Saylor, President and CEO of Microstrategy Inc.

Ing. Tranter said: "Since all participants at this Summit will be the guests of MicroStrategy, they are very careful who to invite. What is for sure is that through this first invitation for a small number of delegates from Malta to attend, MicroStrategy has recognised the need for Malta to form part of a wider European discussion that will address issues related to how new technologies are rapidly changing existing business models. This is why participation to such an event is of great importance to Malta.

"It will definitely provide the local business leaders attending, an insight into how their industry can maintain a continuous competitive advantage by harnessing the power of techno-logy and business intelligence."
