Atlas joins the local stockbroking scene

by Anthony Manduca

Atlas Stockbroking Limited of Abate Rigord Street, Ta' Xbiex has started offering stockbroking services for securities listed on the Malta Stock Exchange.

This follows the issuing of a stockbroker's license to Jean P. Gaffiero, Atlas Stockbroking Limited's managing director. When asked by The Malta Business Weekly what prompted Atlas to enter the local stockbroking scene, Mr Gaffiero said that this was due to a number of factors.

"Privately owned companies recognising the exchange as an alternative source to the banks when seeking corporate finance, government's policy on privatisation together with the local investment culture that is forever growing all contributed to our decision to enter this market," Mr Gaffiero said.

Atlas Stockbroking Limited will now compliment the services offered by Atlas Investment Services Limited making Atlas a one-stop shop for local and foreign investments.
