General manager for Bay Street Hotel complex
Franklin Pulis has been appointed general manager of the new Bay Street Hotel Complex
The new four-star hotel will form an integral part of the Bay Street Complex in St George's Bay St Julian's, opening in November.
The hotel, which is in a very advanced stage of completion will have a selection of 125 rooms, suites and units with self-catering facilities.
It also encompasses a number of facilities and amenities such as bars, lounge, coffee bar, restaurant, large roof terrace and conference facilities.
Mr Pulis who has extensive experience in the hospitality sector said that he was "very enthusiastic to be joining this new project which will bring to Malta a new concept in the hotel industry". The hotel's location in Malta's entertainment mecca and its positioning within a larger leisure and entertainment complex makes it unique in that it provides new and innovative characteristics.
"Within one complex the guest and his family can easily access and experience various attractions.
"These include an Artisan Market and Discovery Centre which are in themselves main attractions.
The theme bars and restaurants within the complex will pro-vide the hotel's guests with a variety of cuisine and dining experience.
"Added to this, a bonus of having a shopping centre with a number of internationally recognised high street brands, without the need to leave the building," he said.
Conscious of the high level in the standard of service which the hotel guests will expect to complement this quality investment, the com-pany has started the staff recruitment process for all the hotel's departments.
Extensive training will be provided to all new recruits at all levels. The training programme will include both technical up-dates as well as coaching to instil in all members of staff excellent customer care and client service.
Mr Pulis added that the identity logo of the complex should inspire the Bay Street Hotel Complex team to provide guests with a service which will be hall-marked as "brilliant".
The hotel will welcome its first guests on 1 December.
