Go Mobile to get its prepaid mobile packages from Dubai

Go Mobile has entered into an agreement with an American company, Brightpoint Inc., which will provide Go Mobile wireless prepaid products and integrated services related to the Maltese GSM operator's services.

Under this agreement, Brightpoint will provide its services from its facility at the Dubai Airport free zone, in the United Arab Emirates.

Brightpoint will provide prepaid fulfilment and distribution services to Go Mobile, including prepaid SIM card packaging and recharge card management, together with recharge cards for Go Mobile's authorised outlets throughout Malta.

The agreement was announced last week and was signed between Brightpoint's subsidiary - Brightpoint Middle East FZE - and Go Mobile.

Brightpoint will also supply Go Mobile with fulfilment and distribution services and wireless handsets for Go Mobile's authorised dealers throughout Malta under this agreement. Go Mobile is the trade name of MobIsle Communications Ltd, a subsidiary of Maltacom. Go Mobile plans to launch its service by the end of this year after it was awarded a license to operate last week. The company is expected to offer its clients a full range of GSM services, a nation-wide coverage in Malta and also data services such as WAP, GPRS and UMTS.
