Hard Rock Cafe (Malta) managers end training in US

by a staff reporter

Five managers who will be manning the soon to be opened Hard Rock Cafe in St George’s Bay have ended a five-week long training programme in the United States. The managers left Malta last month for a special training programme at the Hard Rock Cafe Training Centre in Atlanta, one of the eight worldwide centres owned by the brand.
The five managers are Frans Vella, Glenn Borg, Stefan Borg Saydon, Vanessa Bonnici and Patrick Pace.
Two officials of the Seabank Group – which owns the franchise to open a Hard Rock Cafe in Malta – recently visited the five managers in Atlanta.
Seabank chairman Silvio Debono and group financial controller Arthur Gauci said they were impressed by the level of training provided to their staff and by the excellent service being provided to customers.
“The international Hard Rock Cafe mottoes of ‘Love All – Serve All’, ‘Save the Planet’ and ‘All is One’ will become part and parcel of their job,” Mr Gauci said.
Mr Debono and Mr Gauci met also the general manager of Hard Rock Cafe (Atlanta) Mark Levine. They also traveled to the Hard Rock headquarters in Orlando where they met the international President Pete J. Beaudrault.
Mr Beaudrault expressed his enthusiasm for the imminent arrival of Hard Rock Cafe in Malta. He said he was extremely pleased and satisfied with the way things were developing in Malta, adding that Malta’s Hard Rock Cafe will definitely be a success as was the case with the other 104 outlets spread all around the world.
During his tenure with Hard Rock, Mr Beaudrault has served alongside an impressive senior management team where sales have grown from US$175m to approximately US$400m a year via an aggressive focus on growth and brand revitalisation and expansion.
Hard Rock Cafe Malta will be opening on 25 November at Bay Street, St George’s Bay.
