New customs procedures

A meeting aimed at informing the local business and industrial community about new customs procedures which Malta is expected to adopt as from January 2001 and which are in line with the EU’s Customs Acquis is being organised at METCO, Trade Centre, Industrial Estate, San Gwann on Tuesday 28 November at 8.30am.
This meeting is jointly organised by the Department of Customs, the Euro Info Correspondence Centre (EICC) the EU Help Desk of the Malta Business Bureau, the Malta-EU Information Centre (MIC), the Federation of Industry and the Chamber of Commerce.
This session will deal with Customs Economic Procedures: how they operate benefits to trade and Ireland’s experience with the main speakers being Mr Croke and Mr Hodnett from the Irish Customs Administration.
Attendance at this event is free, however advance booking is required in view of seating.
