New concept in real estate

by David Kelleher

A new real estate company is offering people the chance to buy property on their books without paying the five per cent agency fees.
PropertyF, whereby the F stands for ‘free from fees’ is a new real estate company that will be selling property solely through its website which will be launched in the coming days.
Speaking to The Malta Business Weekly, one of the directors said this was a new approach to doing business. “Through our website, buyers are put in direct contact with the owner of the property. He or she is free to make a deal without having to use the estate agency. Thus our clients will be able to save 100 per cent in agency fees,” he said.
If, however, the purchaser requires the agency’s help in brokering a deal, he will be charged only one per cent, thus saving up to 80 per cent on fees.
“This should serve as an incentive to the buyer, while we are providing a service at a discount. Those who want to list their property on the website can do so for a Lm15 charge. The property remains listed until it is sold at no extra cost. Including a picture will cost Lm1,” he said.
This is a relatively new concept in real estate and is basically reinventing the business “to meet demands and make better use of the electronic revolution”.
PropertyF will be announcing other developments over the coming months and the launch of the website is but “the beginning of a long-term business plan”.
