Training programme for Tumas Group

Twenty-five Tumas Group middle managers were last week presented with certificates after having successfully completed a demanding in-house training programme. In-house training is offered to most employee grades within Tumas Group and forms an integral part of its philosophy.
Training is considered important not only because it brings about the direct improvement of the capabilities of employees, but also because it heightens their self-esteem and self-confidence, resulting in an improved overall performance.
As part of its ongoing in-house training, a series of seminars were organised for the group’s middle
management. Conducted by Misco managing director Joe Zahra, the main themes of the management skills course included motivation, managing time, stress management and cost-effective management.
The seminars were also a means to stimulate the mind to achieve more results and motivation. In his address during the presentation of certificates, Tumas Group managing director George Fenech said the group – which “aims to offer its employees a career and not merely a job” – has always invested in human resources and considered training to be a priority.
He stressed on the importance of continuous learning, as well as the need for clear objectives and goals, which would determine the nature of the group’s input.
