Metco and BOV renew cooperation agreement

Metco and Bank of Valletta are renewing their commitment to assist the Maltese industry through a new three-year cooperation agreement. The Bank has always been a prime supporter of Metco, and has participated and supported
most trade missions which Metco has organised.
Through this new agreement, Bank of Valletta is not only undertaking to sponsor a number of overseas trade missions, but will also be a main sponsor of the Metco Export Marketing Award – an annual event aimed at highlighting Malta’s successful export efforts as an example for others to follow, as exports are the lifeline of the economy.
The Bank has also supported Metco’s Export Marketing Conference, which explored Malta’s exciting prospects in e-commerce, as part of both entities’ efforts to give the Maltese economy new leads for success and prosperity. Reflecting Bank of Valletta’s support, Metco has decided to name one of its meeting rooms “The Bank of Valletta Room”, and will list the Bank as a sponsor in the activities supported by the Bank.
Both organisations have also committed themselves to organise two courses for Metco users, one in March on Banking Instruments and one in April on Creating an Export Strategy. This is a proactive initiative taken by both BOV and Metco to create a more export-conscious business community.
