Two new second generation stockbrokers appointed

Two directors of Financial Planning Stockbrokers Limited, Matthew Bonello aged 33, and Elaine Bonello aged 29, have been licensed by the Malta Stock Exchange Council to act as Stockbrokers, with effect from 30 March.
In 1992, both Matthew and Elaine Bonello passed the Stock Exchange’s Accredited Representative examinations, and have gained experience in this capacity for the last nine years for the Stockbroking firm founded by their father in 1991.
Financial Planning Stockbrokers Limited thus becomes the first stockbroking firm where the three directors are all stockbrokers in their own right, besides being members of the same family. Through this putting into place of the second generation, clients are assured of the confidentiality and personal attention in their relationship with a company. When asked about his appointment, Matthew Bonello said, “The company’s decision to appoint two new stockbrokers only came about after both myself and Elaine had achieved nine years of experience as Accredited Representatives. The objective is to guarantee our clients the continuity of our quality service and ongoing advice. I look forward with enthusiasm to building on my father’s life-long career in financial services which, including his seven years’ banking experience, started four decades ago in September 1960.”
Elaine Bonello added “I am taking on the challenge of my new responsibilities as a fully fledged stockbroker, with the aim of furthering our company philosophy which has always been ‘prescription without diagnosis is malpractice’. I am fully aware that the level of success we have achieved in the market will be increased as more existing and potential clients discover the value of the principles on which we run our company thus leading them to refer us to their friends and relatives.”
