New Fimbank executive
First International Merchant Bank Ltd has appointed Nassif
A. Chehab senior manager of correspondent banking. Mr Chehab
is to be responsible for maintaining and developing Fimbank’s
worldwide inter-bank business, and for coordinating the bank’s
network of regional consultants.
Mr Chehab has held several senior positions in international
merchant banking, including: senior manager, Credit Lyonnais
Bank (Austria) AG, where he was responsible for corporate finance,
correspondent banking, and trade and export finance; area manager
for the Middle East, Bank of Austria AG; and head of correspondent
and institutional banking, Arab Bank (Austria) AG, a subsidiary
of Arab Bank plc. More recently, Mr Chehab held the position
of general manager at Volksbank Malta Ltd, where he also sat
on the board of directors.
Mr Chehab is fluent in English, German, French and Arabic, and
is a graduate of Webster University, US, and of the American
University in Paris.
