Polish business mission

A Polish business mission led by Maciej Gorski, Ambassador of Poland and by Artur Dmochowski, commercial counsellor, will be in Malta on 10 – 11 May. The mission will offer Maltese business an excellent opportunity to develop and to deepen commercial relations with Poland – a future member of the European Community with a population of nearly 40 million people.
The programme for the visit has been planned in co-operation with the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Metco, will consists of:
“Doing Business with Poland” a seminar to be held at Le Méridien Phoenicia on Thursday, 10 May, at 4pm with a presentation on the economic, investment and business climate in Poland. The speakers will include the Polish Ambassador to Malta, the Commercial Counsellor, the President of the State Agency for Foreign Investments, and Maltese businessmen already operating in Poland .
One-to-one meetings between the twelve companies from Poland and their Maltese counterparts will take place on Friday, 11 May at the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Valletta starting from 11.30am. Maltese companies seeking business with Poland will find many interesting proposals of co-operation both offered and sought by Polish firms in the field of food (meat and fish) products (increasingly sought after given the sound environmental conditions of the Polish countryside, free from both aphta and BSE diseases); wood and wood industry; stockyard construction and repairs; steel work and steel products; power plants and petrol refineries; household, industrial and medical chemistry and others.
