Year-long training plan for Sea Malta

An in-house certificate presentation to a number of employees took place at Sea Malta recently, representing the end of a year-long training plan of a range of courses including creativity skills, aspects of finance and number of courses in various IT applications.
The number of employees who received training represented most shore-based work force of Sea Malta ranging from clerical level up to senior management. Com-pany chairman Marlene Mizzi, emphasised once more the importance of an across-the-board training approach to ensure that any competency-induced differences in various aspects of the service would be levelled. This would ensure that clients receive a streamlined service all through out
Ms Mizzi added that Sea Malta puts training high on its agenda and this has been manifested by the creation of the corporate services division which among other responsibilities plans and monitors all training programmes.
A new training programme, addressing different training areas and requirements has already been formulated for 2001/2002 which will commence from this month and continues through the first months of 2002.
