Talk on business incubation

The chairman of the USA’s National Business Incubation Association, Larry Albertson, will be speaking at the Radisson SAS next Wednesday. This event is being organised by the Kordin Business Incubation Centre and IPSE.
Mr Albertson runs a US consultancy that specialises in all aspects of business incubation: feasibility studies, programme assessments, evaluations and benchmarking, and the preparation of business plans leading to self-
sufficiency for new businesses. He is actively involved in international initiatives on business incubation. Mr Albertson has long experience in assisting new companies to set up and establish their operations, advising on opportunities for financing. He has been directly responsible for developing effective programmes for regional development, which included business incubators.
The Kordin Business Incubation Centre is set to open in July, with space for 55 new ventures. The entrepreneurs who are selected for inclusion in the programme will receive assistance in training, business plans, financing opportunities, marketing, management and the general principles of business. They will be able to use the KBIC premises for up to three years, until they are on a firm enough footing. The KBIC management is now taking applications from interested parties, and says that it is looking for “new and interesting ideas with realistic potential for development into a sound
business”.
Attendance is free of charge and reservations can be made on tel. 220270 or fax 220262.
