New CEO for Citadel Insurance plc

Ramon Mizzi has been appointed chief executive officer of Malta Citadel Insurance plc.
Citadel Insurance plc was set-up in 1997 and was the first local insurance agency to be converted in an insurance company. Since then it has been offering a wide range of insurance products tailored to the specific requirements of the local market.
Mr Mizzi holds a Bachelor Degree in Law and Humanistic Studies, a Diploma of Legal Procurator, is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and has more than 15 years experience in the local insurance market. During his career he has been employed with the Mediterranean Insurance Brokers Limited, Middle Sea Insurance Company Limited, Formosa & Camilleri Limited, British American Insurance Co. Limited, and until recently he was general manager of BUPA Agencies Limited.
Besides contributing regularly to insurance journals and publications the new CEO lectures at the Mediterranean Insurance Training Centre and is a Council Member of the Malta Insurance Institute and the Malta Insurance Agents Association. He was also chairman of the Health Insurance Section of the Malta Insurance Association.
As CEO, Mr Mizzi will be responsible of the conduct of the whole business of the company and will report directly to the chairman and managing director.
Mr Mizzi is married and father of two children.
