Lakeway Link’s new RoRo service connects Gdynia, and Södertälje, with three weekly departures, starting May 21st, taking 22 hours per trip.

A new Swedish shipping company Lakeway Link starts the RoRo service connecting Gdynia, Poland, and Södertälje, Sweden.

After a year and a half of thorough preparations and establishment, Lakeway Link is ready for its first shipment.

Lakeway Link’s vessel, M/S Lakeway Express, will make its first call at the OT terminal in Gdynia on May 21st for loading, before setting sail towards Södertälje, arriving on May 22nd.

The service will continue with three weekly departures in each direction, with the journey between the two ports taking approximately 22 hours.

“This is a new chapter in Swedish maritime history as Lakeway Link begins its service, establishing a new link for cargo transport across the Baltic Sea. We are proud to launch this service with our vessel sailing under the Swedish flag. We are humble yet excited about the first port calls and hope this service will grow strong in the market,” says Fredrik Hermansson, CEO of Lakeway Link.
